Tim Godfrey is a Nigerian gospel singer and musical director, who is the epitome of the musical ideas of Kirk Franklin. He is a voice instructor, writer, arranger, presenter, conference speaker, producer, multi-instrumentalist and musical concert clinician. Tim was born in Kaduna, Nigeria, in the family of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Godfrey, and in addition to him, the family had three sons and two daughters. He received his education at his family’s Church in Kaduna, where he performed in the adult choir since his teenage years. Tim Godfrey started his musical career in February 2014 after more than a decade of being the musical director and gaining huge experience in music directing, songwriting, song arrangement, voice grooming, and great performances.

Tim Godfrey and the Xtreme Crew group is focused on evangelism, and they offer professional concerts and shows throughout the country. In addition to traditional gospel singing, African rhythms mixed with the Western sound can be sensed in their sound. So, we can say that the genre of Tim Godfrey’s songs has something traditional along with the contemporary sound. The group has a desire to spread the gospel throughout the Earth and also to give professional musical performances across the country, while also preaching about the destruction of hell and the beauty of the Kingdom of God. Tim Godfrey and the Xtreme Crew has done professional concerts at over 1000 events in Nigeria and abroad in five years, visited five States of America in June 2006, conducted a tour of various Nigeria states along with the best Nigerian gospel artists, which was organized by the British music company “Set him off music ministries” in 2007. Since 2008 and up to this day the band is on a national tour in Nigeria.
